The eternal problem for a new 70

Thought I would post in here rather than guild chat as I am stuck on a train!

My problem is that having pretty much solo'ed to 70 - I haven't got much group experience. I've worked really hard to earn enough gold to scrape what I can from the AH.

Having searched the intermerweb thing - I have come to 3 conclusions:

1. My gear is crap
2. I need to raid or PVP to improve my gear
3. I will be wiped in seconds in Arena / Kara or similar - (probably)

So it seems to me that I need to improve and start raiding, but Kara and the higher end stuff is probably out. I am levelling leatherworking to try and get some Primal / Elemental gear to give me a boost and become a more 'useful' guildie!

Question is - are there any other 'new' 70's out there who want to start a little smaller and gear up to Kara etc and then on to the Wotkl?

Well, with just over a month to WOtLK, perhaps it's not rly worth trying to put major effort to try and get kara geared, and tbh at this rate we'll be lucky to get 3 other kara runs in before LK release, so if your content to wait then you might as well.
However if you do want to gear up to do some pve before LK, then run some lvl 70 instances, Shattered Halls, Steamvaults, Arca, Bot etc, however if you just want some epics to help you get to 80 that bit easier you might as well just pvp from now till LK and get your S2 set and weapons.
